Hi I'm Collin Gibbs,

I manage The Rincon Surf School in Rincon, Puerto Rico. I began surfing in Sea Isle City, NJ when I was 11 years old. We moved to Ocean City, the next town over when I was 16yrs old. That year I started surfing through the bitter cold winters. Below freezing weather , sleet -n- snow, with crisp water temps below 40. I surfed up and down the east coast competitively in ESA, NSSA, pro/am and a few pro contests. I surfed for different endorsements thru/out the years: Heritage Surf and Sport, Wynn Surfboards, Rip Curl, Oakley, and Pro-lite to name a few. Still Riding Wynn Surfboards and supporting Ocean City Heritage Surf and Sport.

I have Surfed all up and down the East Coast from Maine to the Florida Keys (behind a boat, ha!) The Gulf Panhandle, all throughout Southern California, Baja Mexico, and Puerto Rico.

Currently living , surfing, and working in Puerto Rico. I came to Rincon last March 10' just to surf for a month. I ended up meeting Dez and Garret (Owners) my 4th day down here just by chance. I was hired as an surf instructor after a long grueling questionnaire process. Ha! JK! I Taught for Garret -n- Dez for 3months. They then offered me a epic place to live and position managing their surf school. The rest is history.

My goal for each student is to push your limits and expand upon each unique persons skill level. Getting people stoked on the ocean and it's waves is what were all about here at the Rincon Surf School!
